Kick ass
My big brother wanted me to see this film. Since I have to kill some time after my operation by resting (laying down instead of bending, carrying etc etc) I follow his advice. He will wait till I saw it before watching it. My brother knows how it feels to have his ass kicked, so I hope I don't disappoint him with my review about this film.
You like comics? The ones about super hero's?
Well the dude in the movie "Kick ass" does and he also wonders if nobody wants to be one.
How come so many people like to read about them but doesn't want to be one (as a profession).
So the dude (far from popular) decides to be one and calls himself: Kick ass, although a much better name for him is: Ass kicked!
He is really doing his best and tries to save a guy, who been beaten up by 3 men. From that moment on Kick ass is famous and not only that. A mobster thinks he is the one who is killing all his men! So Kick ass is hunted by him (good there are also fake Kick asses so it's a fake that been kicked and shoot to death instead).
A father back from prison takes care of his little daughter. Both have the same passion: weapons, fighting and super hero's. And they are really a great team. They meet Kick ass and promise to help him if he ever needs them.
The mobster's son turns into a super hero also, to help catching Kick ass, he is the one who discovers the real murderers of the mob family (or should I say: Teddy is?).
You have to be patient and force yourself a bit to watch the whole film. The first half (or is it 2/3 of the film?) is not very exciting but from the moment on Hit girl shows up to save (her) Big daddy and Kick ass from the death, it's action, action and action! The shooting/fighting parts especially with her are great to see (it makes me jealous since she looks much more athletic as me). Not one of the greatest movies ever made but good enough to kill some time and think over. Although the movie isn't a parody it's interesting to discover that I don't feel one second mercy for that whole mob family. The fact an adult man doesn't hesitate one second to kill a small kill is interesting too.
